WORLD OF WARCRAFT: FOREVER / CLASS GUIDE
An elemental caster, weapon fighter and healer with totems at the center.
Shaman combines three ways to approach a fight: ranged elemental spells, melee attacks strengthened by magic, and healing supported by totems. In the current talent data, Elemental links lightning and fire, Enhancement connects weapon attacks to spellcasting, and Restoration develops direct healing, recovery over time and Mana support. Choosing a tree changes your emphasis while keeping the class's elemental identity.

THREE WAYS TO BUILD YOUR CLASS
Compare the three trees and a few of their defining talents. Names, ranks, and descriptions below come from the attributed beta snapshot; the summaries are editorial guidance.
Datamined · source build 1.60.1.69876 [5]
Ranged elemental damage
Focuses on lightning, fire and spell efficiency. Its current interactions make spell choice and the target's existing effects important when reading the tree.
Damage spells can grant a Clearcasting effect that removes the Mana cost of the next damage spell.
Gives you a 10% chance to enter a Clearcasting state after casting any Fire, Frost, or Nature damage spell. The Clearcasting state reduces the mana cost of your next damage spell by 100%.
Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning can trigger an additional, reduced-damage cast with no extra cost or threat.
Gives your Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning spells a 3% chance to cast a second, similar spell on the same target at no additional cost that causes half damage and no threat.
Gives your Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning spells a 7% chance to cast a second, similar spell on the same target at no additional cost that causes half damage and no threat.
Gives your Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning spells a 10% chance to cast a second, similar spell on the same target at no additional cost that causes half damage and no threat.
Deals Fire damage, increased when your Flame Shock is already on the target.
165 Mana | 30 yd range | 2.5 sec cast | 10 sec cooldown
You hurl molten lava at the target, dealing 106 to 134 Fire damage. If your Flame Shock is on the target, Lava Burst deals 20% increased damage.
Source-reported prerequisite: Lightning Overload. Required rank: unknown.
Melee and spell damage
Builds a connection between weapon attacks, elemental weapon effects and spells. Both attack speed and the opportunities created by melee hits matter to the intended playstyle.
Strikes with the weapon and strengthens the next listed lightning or Earth Shock spell against that target.
125 Mana | Melee Range | Instant | 8 sec cooldown
Instantly strike for normal weapon damage and increase the damage you deal to the target with your next Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, or Earth Shock spell by 20% for 12 sec.
Melee damage can build stacks that reduce the next Lightning Bolt's cast time and Mana cost.
When you deal damage with a melee attack, you have a chance to reduce the cast time and Mana cost of your next Lightning Bolt spell by 4%. Stacks up to 5 times. Lasts 30 sec.
When you deal damage with a melee attack, you have a chance to reduce the cast time and Mana cost of your next Lightning Bolt spell by 8%. Stacks up to 5 times. Lasts 30 sec.
When you deal damage with a melee attack, you have a chance to reduce the cast time and Mana cost of your next Lightning Bolt spell by 12%. Stacks up to 5 times. Lasts 30 sec.
When you deal damage with a melee attack, you have a chance to reduce the cast time and Mana cost of your next Lightning Bolt spell by 16%. Stacks up to 5 times. Lasts 30 sec.
When you deal damage with a melee attack, you have a chance to reduce the cast time and Mana cost of your next Lightning Bolt spell by 20%. Stacks up to 5 times. Lasts 30 sec.
Temporarily increases melee attack speed and spellcasting speed.
Instant | 3 min cooldown
Increases your melee attack speed and spell casting speed by 30% for 25 sec.
Source-reported prerequisite: Mental Quickness. Required rank: unknown.
Healing and Mana support
Combines direct healing, periodic healing and group recovery. Several talents develop the relationship between efficient healing and keeping Mana available.
Uses water globes to restore Mana after eligible incoming attacks or critical healing results.
Instant | 15 sec cooldown
The caster is surrounded by 3 globes of water. When a spell, melee, or ranged attack hits the caster or when one of the caster's healing spells gets a critical result, 2% of maximum mana is restored to the caster, expending one water globe. Only one globe will activate every few seconds. Lasts 10 min. Only one Elemental Shield can be active on the Shaman at any one time.
Places a temporary totem that periodically restores Mana to nearby group members.
10 Mana | Instant | 5 min cooldown
Summons a Mana Tide Totem with 5 health at the feet of the caster for 12 sec that restores 88 mana every 3 seconds to group members within 30 yards.
Provides immediate and periodic healing, with a bonus to Chain Heal cast directly on the affected target.
245 Mana | 40 yd range | Instant | 6 sec cooldown
Heals a friendly target for 485 to 533, an additional 445 over 15 sec, and increases the effectiveness of your Chain Heal casts directly on that target by 25%.
Source-reported prerequisite: Healing Way. Required rank: unknown.

Beta talent snapshot
Elemental concentrates on offensive spellcasting. Elemental Focus can make a subsequent damage spell free, Lightning Overload can add a second lightning cast, and Lava Burst gains additional damage when your Flame Shock is on the target. The source describes that Flame Shock interaction as a damage increase; it does not describe a guaranteed critical strike.
Enhancement links weapon attacks and spells. Stormstrike strengthens your next listed lightning or Earth Shock spell against the target. Melee damage can build Maelstrom Weapon stacks that reduce Lightning Bolt's cast time and Mana cost. Rage of the Farseer temporarily accelerates both melee attacks and spellcasting.
Restoration develops healing and recovery tools. Water Shield can restore Mana after incoming attacks or a critical heal, Mana Tide supports nearby group members, and Riptide combines an initial heal with healing over time while improving Chain Heal when cast directly on that target.

Elemental Weapons improves the listed Rockbiter, Windfury, Flametongue and Frostbrand weapon effects. Spirit Weapons adds parry and changes threat according to whether Rockbiter is active: the talent describes increased threat with Rockbiter and reduced attack threat without it.
That distinction is useful when reading an Enhancement build, but a threat modifier alone does not establish a complete tank toolkit or a proven dungeon role. Look at the actual weapon effect and selected talents together before interpreting a damage or threat test.

The opening beta is capped at level 20, with level 30 planned later. A complete displayed tree is useful for comparing future directions, but an early leveling session cannot demonstrate every deep-tree interaction. Keep notes about what your character could actually select and cast at the tested level.

BETA / REVIEWED SEPTEMBER 23, 2026
The opening beta supports characters through level 20. Blizzard plans to raise the cap to 30 later in testing, so a full tree preview includes talents beyond the opening playable range. [6]

EXPLORE YOUR BUILD
Browse all 50 talents and 148 rank descriptions across the three trees. Inspect talent icons and pop-up descriptions, add or remove experimental points, and save or share a plan.
The planner uses an editable point budget. Required prerequisite ranks, tier requirements, level-by-level point rules, and Legacy interactions remain unverified, so a saved plan is an experiment to revisit as the beta develops.
