Beta / HEARTHSIDE CODEX REPORT
Blizzard's September 22 client update targets Mac display and stability, controller navigation and quest-giving items. The next full weekly update is planned for September 24.

A new Forever beta client is available through Battle.net: version 1.60.1, build 69977. Blizzard's short update lists three Mac and gamepad improvements. It does not publish a new talent balance pass or confirm that every previously promised class fix has shipped.
| Area | Listed change |
|---|---|
| Mac | Corrections to some display and stability issues. |
| Character selection | Controller navigation should work more reliably when the client is launched with gamepad active. |
| Quest items | Players can interact with items that offer quests using a gamepad. |

Blizzard asks testers to exit the beta, open the Battle.net app and update the client before testing these changes. The build identified in the announcement is 69977; the full version is 1.60.1.69977.
For the character-selection change, the stated condition matters: the game is launched with gamepad active. The separate quest-item change concerns items that give quests, rather than a general claim that every controller interaction is complete.

The post also mentions other fixes that cannot be tested in-game, without listing their details. It does not describe a level-cap increase, new dungeon availability or a new talent tuning list. Those should not be inferred from the client version number.
The September 18 known-issues thread promised several later fixes without naming their destination build. This newer announcement does not identify those class corrections as completed. Hearthside therefore retains the earlier issues' dated statuses rather than marking them all fixed.
The US forum topic is titled September 22, while its first post is timestamped September 23 at 00:54 UTC. These refer to the same announcement. This report uses September 23 as its publication date and preserves the official title in the source record.
Blizzard names September 24 for the next full weekly beta update. That is a stated plan, not a published list of tomorrow's changes. We will treat subsequent notes as a separate update when they are available.

The planner's September 20 publisher export still identifies its talent source as 1.60.1.69876. We keep that attribution separate from the official 69977 client announcement. A newer client build does not by itself validate the planner's experimental allocation rules.
